One of the better monitors for its size and price range. I have no complaints about clarity, sharpness, or contrast. If you prefer a glossy screen, this is a gem. Overall Review: This is one of my favorite HP LCDs, and I'm quite happy with. Great to have such a large amount of real estate when coding or comparing between various windows.Ĭons: Some color distortion around the edges, especially at an off center viewing angle. White and black reproduction are also above average for LED displays. pictures and websites all look great and text is sharp and clear.

This thing performs brilliantly during movie playback and gaming. I would recomend 24" of space between you and the monitor for best picture viewing. this means that it does have the usual screen viewing angle issues common to every TN LCD panel out there. It is not an IPS monitor so please do not expect miracles.
That said I would not recomend this for anyone doing color critical work. I give this monitor very high marks for being a fantastic consumer grade product. As such I knew going in there was no VESA mount and about the glossy screen. No eggs were deducted for the Cons because all the cons listed are in the specs and description of the monitor. price and performance, this is one of the best monitors for consumer use I have seen and used. Fingerprints and dust can become an issue with the high gloss finish Glossy screen can cause reflection issues in some environments. Very little backlight bleed from the LEDs.Ĭons: No VESA mount. Brightness is excellent and very uniform across the screen. HDMI, VGA, and DVI connections with VGA and DVI cables included. You can disable the power indicator in the menu (yes!!!). OSD menu is easy to understand and very useful. No ghosting during games or fast action movies (some who are more sensative to ghosting may disagree, but for the average person it should not be a problem.) No wobbly stands here!!! The stand on this thing is solid steel inside that highly polished exterior.
